Complementary Medicine Workshop for Anti-Aging and Skin Disorders

From foundational theory, to the scientific evidence-based information and to hands-on practice.

The art of anti-aging is increasingly becoming a valuable source of learning and opportunities for practitioners and patients alike. Coupled with anti-aging are serious and visible skin disorders that affect psychological and emotional wellbeing.

On November 2-3, 2019, Professor Seung Choi and Hyungsuk Choi, who are experts in the field of Traditional Medicine and also part of DULA distinguished faculty members, brought this exciting CEU workshop related to the Anti-Aging and Skin Disorders including acne, alopecia and atopic dermatitis, and how do we understand the foundation of Traditional Medicine into the scientific evidenced-based information to the actual clinical practice. These 2-days workshops were full of hands-on practice as well as review of the current published clinical trial studies. Both of our alumni, students as well as licensed acupuncturists from outside of DULA community have been very fortunate to learn all of these informations, which will be very useful in the daily practice.

Both Professor Seung Choi and Hyungsuk Choi received their education from the prestigious Kyung Hee University in Korea. Professor Seung Choi completed her specialty education in Neuropsychiatry at the Graduate School of Oriental Medicine at Kyung Hee University. Professor Hyungsuk Choi has studied in both Cha University and Kyung Hee University, South Korea and received his PhD in the field of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM). Their accomplishments include numerous public and TV speaking engagements and publications.  They have also recently been popular speakers at elotus. Their recent publication Facial Cosmetic Acupuncture (2018) is an incredible sourcebook for facial cosmetic acupuncture techniques.

On behalf of all DULA community, we shared our gratitudes to Prof. Hyungsuk Choi and Seung Choi for providing this high level of education. We also would like to thank to all our CEU participants who have attended this event and hope that this will enrich your practice and will look forward to meet with all of you again in our future CEU.
