What is Tissue Based Systematic Acupuncture ?
Tissue-Based Systematic Acupuncture integrates traditional and the modern. It explores acupuncture systems and techniques in OM classics such as the Neijing to create a modern system based on anatomy and neurophysiology. Dr. Lee will present basic concepts of tissue-based treatments, followed by a discussion of shoulder anatomy, major shoulder issues, physical examination associated with shoulder issues, and application of local and distal acupuncture points.
Biography of Dr. Seung Deok Lee, KMD (Korea), Ph.D. (Korea), L.Ac.
Dr. Seung Deok Lee has been practicing since 1992 and has more than 25 years experience in Oriental Medicine. He is the co-author of over 200 scientific publications in the field, including peer-reviewed articles, book chapters, and conference papers. His areas of expertise include acupuncture for orthopedics, facial paralysis, and personalized formula prescriptions. He has also been teaching topics in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine since 2000 at the Department of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, Institute of Oriental Medicine, University of Dongguk Korea; and now at Dongguk University Los Angeles (DULA). Currently, he is the President of Dongguk University Los Angeles (DULA). Although his time is limited, he also sees patients who seek his expert treatments at DULA.
